Our customers trust that with every bite, they are enjoying a piece of time-honored Nuremberg tradition.
What originally began in a Nuremberg confectionery is today a specialized business for the finest Elisen-Lebkuchen. To meet the special expectations of our discerning customers, we focus only on the absolute premium quality of Nuremberg Lebkuchen, the Elisen-Lebkuchen. Of course, as a family business, we also have a closely guarded family recipe. Our specialty: we completely forego flour in the production of our doughs. Instead, we bake our Lebkuchen with an exceptionally high proportion of delicious noble nuts such as hazelnuts and almonds.
Baking takes place all year round, always fresh. In production, we have remained true to genuine craftsmanship and still manually coordinate all ingredients. All ingredients are then thoroughly mixed in kettles to form a perfect Elisen dough. All Lebkuchen are also carefully placed individually on baking sheets, and even the application of the sugar glaze is done by hand with brushes. Every step is carefully monitored and continuously controlled so that all Lebkuchen leave our bakery as a top product.
Our Team – Tradition lives through people
What makes our Elisen gingerbread so special is not only the selected ingredients and time-tested family recipes, but above all the people who make them with dedication. Get to know some of the faces from our bakery, production, and office.

The best of all gingerbread and beautiful gingerbread tins.
For many years, we have also been baking our popular original Elisen gingerbread in gluten-free, organic, and vegan varieties. We are organic-certified according to DE-ÖKO-001. Our product range is supplemented by numerous additional delicacies, such as fine macarons and handmade chocolates.
Further unmistakable features are our beautiful decorative tins. Whether with Nuremberg city motifs, stylish embossing, or modern illustration on paper tins – there is something for every taste. For example, we created the "Elisen" tin in honor of the namesake of the Elisen gingerbread.
